You can get 44-pin card edge connectors from Bob Roberts (
link), either Molex type (crimp-on split pins) or solder tail/eyelet type. You can also get bundles of multicolored wires from him too (
link), which is handy. Generally speaking, use 18 gauge for power and ground, 20 or 22 gauge for everything else (20 gauge has more "meat" for crimping terminals to, which is nice).
