Route it thru and inverter IC such as a 74h04

hi BobA,

could you roughly explain how does the 74H04 work ?
will it break or convert the output? or ?

thanks

Does just as the name implies. It inverts it's input.

Example; Input a turned on a switch, it outputs an off switch.

input Binary bit 1, the output becomes Binary bit 0

Input 5 Volts, the output becomes 0 Volts.
