Low Res Mala ?

I am trying to get Mala to display in Low Res (320x240)...The background and text come up fine, but the font is too large..even with it set to the smallest font (8 I think). Any clue how to make the font smaller...I have both Low Res  boxes checked (In Display and in Layout).
