Anybody have pix of t-molding with a lip installed?

As I'm cutting down particle board that's already laminated, I'm having to contend with chipping on the edge. Also, with the thickness of the laminate on the 3/4" particle board it makes the thickness about 13/16. One of the options for 13/16 t-molding on t-molding.com has a lip that would cover the edge. I've requested a sample, but wondered if anybody had used this stuff and had pictures.

Use a router to cut it.
That will stop chipping. Or buy a better blade for your saw.


If this isn't possible then that T-molding is a simple solution.

i echo the sharp new tools advice, plus will add , i think if you put masking tape over the bits you want to cut ,mark the cut on the masking tape and cut through it ,it helps to reduce the chipping of the laminate.

I may check out a different blade. All of this is based on a test-cut that I made on a scrap piece of the matieral. The chipping was pretty minimal and only on the side where the blade exited (through tape even). I purposely cut so that this would be the inside side. The only thing I'm worried about is that I wanted to have the sides of the cocktail inset about 1/4" from being flush.  I just thought this t-molding might be an easy, quick solution if I can't work out smooth cuts on the exit side. I'm just wondering how goofy it looks installed.
