:notworthy: Excellent write up headkaze.  This will make it easy for anybody wanting to get setup with Randy's LEDWiz and ICE Buttons.  You might even consider putting this in the WIKI.

Very nice writeup, hk.

3 hours to do the wiring?  That's amazing.  Took me 3 weeks...  ;D  Can you ship Credo here?

Looking at your wiring diagram, looks like you ended up wiring your P1 buttons and P2 buttons to the same inputs on the LEDWiz?

My next cab will have the same type of control panel, so I am debating either 2 LEDWiz's (with RGB buttons) or 1 LEDWiz (with the new translucent buttons).

Will these RGB kits still fit if I choose to use leafs instead of microswitches?

No.  The button is different.

You probably could rig up a RGB LED to shine on the leaf, but the results may not be all that good due to color mixing.  The GGG Electric Ice buttons are designed to mix the 3 colors output from the LED.  With other buttons you may just get a button that has a part of it that lights up red, another part lighting blue, and another green.  (Although I've never tried)

Hehe, my sister made those cushions. That's why they're outside and not inside :P

Okay I've added some videos to the bottom of the page so you can see the actual lighting and attract modes in action.

Cheers Loki, if I help out one person then all the documentation was worth it. I'm very happy with the results, it's a bit of work to wire up but the end result is defintely worth it. Even my g/f likes it :)

Kudos on the write up.  Very nice job.

I like the "plasma" effect as well. :)

Thanks Randy, I appreciate your feedback :)

My plugin has over 70 custom made lwa's and 10 paletted plama modes. So it never gets boring ;) The videos unfortunely don't show many of them in action. I don't have any footage of the beat detection audio mode as that is not working as well as I want it to (certainly not as good as your software yet).

Right now the program I wrote to make the lwa's uses 32x32 pixel images I made in photoshop that were converted to the lwa format. I am thinking of making it into a fully fledged animation maker for LEDWiz. It's all about time for me though, I may make it into a fully fledged lwa animation maker one day.

People are welcome to download my plugin and use the lwa's in other LEDWiz software too, as they are compatible with other software that support lwa's. They were originally made with single colour LED's in mind, but they look great on RGB ones as well. I may make a whole set specifically for RGB leds soon too.

I saw your original writeup page and it was real good.  Then I read some of the recent posts here and thought what videos?  I revisited the writeup page and man what difference.  This is a real professional writeup and the videos really show the capability of both the ICE buttons and your plugins to GameEx.

Keep up the good work HeadKaze

The low gage wire attached to the RGB Drives is so small it's actually quite a task to strip the wire back as the wire cutters we had didn't go that small. But Credo found a nice method for stripping the wires, and that was to use Soldering Iron to burn off the ends by scraping them off with the hot iron.
Really.?
I found it would come off easy if I just pulled it off using my fingernails as the insulation is very soft.

Wow that would be great but a big job to do for Free. Maybe Randy would give you a free sample of something if you completed such a task  ;)
