Found source for numeric keypad: CHEAP!!
« on: April 04, 2003, 10:17:21 pm »
Was snooping around E-bay, found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=294&item=3016254741&rd=1

For 5 bucks, I "bought it now".  Found out that this guy has a www "storefront", and sells these all day for 5.99 (plus like $5 shipping).
http://corporate.auctionworks.com/store/itemDetail.asp?sid=200304042149450000000005442266&sfid=1218&id=50637183

I bought my E-bay one ($4.99), and another one ($5.99) and it still was like $5 shipping for both.

Not illuminated (like the Storm keypad), but for $6, you cant go wrong!!  Also, this is a "common ground, 12 output" keypad.  this means that it will hook right up to a IPAC (or in my case, a KeyWiz).  The Storm will not do that.

I will get it in a few days, and see if there is a way to nuzzle some LED's behind the keys.

Whaddya think??

Very Nice!  Now to scrape off the "*" and "#" and replace them with "Select" and "Cancel" (or go with the auto select and simply relabel them < and > -- a complete solution!)

Thanks for the tip!!!
