Checking new messages
« on: February 05, 2007, 07:36:09 am »
I've been on this board a little while now and there is one small thing bothering me; It's a pain to check for new messages and replies.

There is at the bottom of this forum the "Recent Posts" part but it only shows a few and when you want to see them all you get a big list with full posts.
Not really nice I think.

Isn't there something on this forum that is like the "View unanswered posts" from phpBB?

There is one forum I often visit that next to a "View unanswered posts" also has a "My active topics" option... it's almost the same as the first but only shows all topics I have posted in and if there are replies. (with a different colored icon like all forums have)

Is it possible to get it in this forum? Or do I just need glasses and have I looked over it.

I read about it in this thread.  But I can't see a button or link to it either.

I see... strange that there isn't a link for it.

Well, I'll just bookmark it then. Works just as good. :)

There is a link, just not in the classic theme that everybody is assigned by default. We are looking to switch over to a new default theme, which will have the link prominent at the top. For now, just use the bookmark of your browser for the one HooPz listed.

There is also http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?action=unreadreplies

Which is specific to ones you are watching or have posted in directly.

Wow.  I changed my theme and I now see the link that you referenced.  I must be getting old though because I can't get used to the change in layout.  Switching back asap.  Thanks for the headsup SirWoogie.  ;D
