iPac wiring problem
« on: January 27, 2007, 07:42:42 pm »
Guys, I rewired my CP this weekend but have run into a snag.

Its a 28 input iPac. I have always needed 32 inputs because of an extra joystick (a 4 way).
This was solved before by doubling up the P1 U/D/L/R inputs with the 8 Way & 4 Way joysticks.

But now I have rewired its not working like that !?

If I double up the J8Way Up with the J4Way .. they don't register anything !?

If I either of them have the iPac to themselves they work fine.

Anyone any ideas why this is ? I am sure I had this working before :(

Ground problem ?

There is no problem running a 4-way and 8-way from the same inputs, but it sounds like you have a grounding issue.

Cheers

I have the player 1 8-way joystick wired with the dedicated 4-way on my panel into the same inputs on my ipac card, so it does work.  You should just double check the wiring and see if something is missing.
