I can't find any manuals for Jukeboxes on the net.  Apparently the guys in the hobby have some kind of integrity.

I also can't seem to find any technical data.  But I'd like a cabinet plan similar to the ones we use for arcade machines.

Anybody have a cabinet plan or manual for something like this?

I'd like to see how they have this cabinet put together.

No.  Maybe I should be more clear.  What I'm looking for is if anybody has tried to duplicate this like the 1936 Seeburg on the examples page. 

The domed part would be hard to make but the rest of it looks like you could make a faux front with some rope lights. 

Anybody have one of these for dimensions and ideas? Even dead these things are pretty pricey at auctions.  And as far as I can tell most of these jukebox guys haven't gone to the extent of having their manuals in pdf files and available for free on the www like arcade machines.

I have to say that I'm pleased there's someone else who's interested in this too.  I've contacted dozens, (not exaggerating!), of manufacturers trying to find a way to either a) get an empty shell, (they make knockoffs of this sort of thing - various companies), or b) get plans/dimensions.

My preference would be a) because I stink at carpentry.

Anyway, I'm interested in a procedural description of what someone would go through/went through to replicate one of these, if they have.

I've seen some that are similar in some ways but nothing that really LOOKS like one of the old time Wurlitzer/Rock-Ola boxes.

It's a long list but it's just about all of the applicable links I have, so perhaps that will be of help to someone.

I contacted a fella' who does business not far from me, (based on the fact that he'd built the PC/MCE box into effectively an empty juke case), who built this thing called the 'Rock Box'.

I wasn't able to get much farther than the distributor he pointed me at who sent me a single message telling me that they would only sell the higher end ones and then only if I bought several, (at several grand a pop).

Thanks for the links/pdfs.

That's a lot of good information.  However, for my particular situation, it doesn't really get me where I'd like to be.

Realistically, I'd be looking for something with the dimensions of the case and/or part numbers for all the accent stuff.

I REALLY do appreciate the effort though.

Perhaps DaOld man will be able to use your info more effectively.

Oops...looks like the parts manual didn't open for me initially...I'm looking at it now...may be the holy grail of sorts...

Well, I looked through the parts manual and I certainly think that I would be able to order parts as a result of that.  I'm not sure that it would be terribly economical, (which is a major consideration in my process - four kids to feed...not to mention my fat butt), to order the entire cabinet assembly and its accompanying accents based on looking at that.  I imagine that it would be VERY expensive.

I realize it's quite a tall order but I'm looking for a way to order an entire, empty cabinet - DOESN'T have to be the high end deal - without taking out a home equity loan. 

Thanks again, BobA.  That stuff is really helpful in the event I've gotta' try and put something together with my caveman carpentry skills.

However I still dont see the dimensions of the cabinet.
This looks like a very good challenge to build one of these babies..

Although I agree that a Real looking Juke would be best, it also looks to be very expensive (even if you could build the cab and just add the neon trim & bling.)

I decided on a DIY design that has a timely Jukebox feel, but an aracde cab approach.

I have seen some small replicas of the Wurlitzer bubbler. I think they are MP3 players or radios.
I was wondering if we could take the measurements from one of those and multiply by a factor to get a reasonable replicated size?
(I feel like I should be on Star Gate SG-1 LOL)

I've seen the replica and they do look very nice and authentic, but I was disappointed in the actual size when I saw a woman standing next to one.  It looked toy-ish in proportions.  It did look good, but too small.

This one looks like it's been photoshopped into each room/setting and the size appears to change in relations to the furniture in the room! In the top picture, it looks twice as tall as the drumset and Huge in the gameroom.  but I couldn't find any dimensions on it in the description.

This one says it is 44 1/2 tall, I figure that would make this woman about 4 feet tall. (oh, they snuck an 11 inch "stand" underneath it!)

Another place listed it as $500 delivered (seems like a resonable price), plus $150 for the stand (ouch, that seems over-priced compared to what you get for your $500!)

If anyone runs accross the dimensions of a real juke, I'd be interested in knowing them.
