Retroblast takes a jab at BYOAC
« on: September 20, 2006, 04:06:19 pm »
Retroblast has a new article where they take a virtual jab at BYOAC:
Quote
Lately I've been hanging out at a new arcade retrogaming haunt on the net, this one based in Germany. The site is essentially the German BYOAC and I have to say, despite the language barrier, the folks are really fun to chat with.

Maybe it should read, "despite the language barrier, the folks are really fun to chat with; unlike over at BYOAC where the lack of a language barrier makes it obvious that everyone is a jerk."

Maybe they did it because of posts like this one

Personally, I think the wiki is actually detracting from the boards. As the wiki becomes more of a factual answer there's less need for people to answer the same questions over and over again. I like the wiki though. ;)

Nah, that's not a jab. RetroBlast and BYOAC are bosom buddies.

But of course. I just found it amusing to think of it that way. ;)

I like Retroblast as much as the next guy, but if we're putting together a raiding party to go give them a top-tanking, I'm in.

allright, I've presented myself as a trojan horse and they let me in.....

once they all pass out I'll give them the ol' top tank. I will also stick their hands in warm water so that they will be totaly embarrased when they wake up in the morning.....

Save time, put their hands in the top tank.

When I was about fourteen my friend was spending the night and we decided to try the warm water trick on my older brother.  I slowly crept into his bedroom and ever so carefully set a big metal bowl of warm water on the night stand next to his bed.  Moving in excruciating slow motion I picked up his arm and moved it, milimeter by milimeter, toward the bowl.  Finally his hand was positioned directly over the water.  I slowly lowered it in and when his wrist had reached the edge of the bowl I let go.

Abruptly the weight of his arm flipped the entire bowl of water, emptying its contents all over his head and torso, and soaking his bed.  Oh my god, how I ran.
