Is it possible to cut speaker wires coming from a radio and cut a set of RCA cables up and splice them together...I have a "boombox" I had in my car years ago and the amp on it only has RCA connectors on it. I have a MTX Crossover sitting on the back of the box that has both low impedence "wire connector" and high impedence RCA connectors on the input side and 2 sets of RCA connections on the output side to go to amps to drive both subs and mid/tweeters. When I used to have this in my car my car stereo had 4x speaker outs (FL,FR,BL,BR) plus a set of RCA pre-outs for my amp/sub.
I haven't decided if I want to use this for my Arcade or if I want to hack it into my car again

Anyways...I have two questions:
1) If I put this back in my car is it possible two split each rear speaker set of wires to drive the rear speakers AND to "splice" into some RCA cables to go into the high impedence RCA connections to my crossover/amp/sub box. Or is it a totally different signal.
2) Can powered crossovers typically handle 100W+ RMS per channel on the low impedence side? In other words....could I hook RCA cables up to my amp and then drive THAT signal out to the crossover....hmmm...forget it...my crossover only has RCA outputs...so forget that idea.
So I guess 1. is my only question unless somebody else can come up with some ideas.
Just trying to figure out a way to use these subs/amp/crossover in either my car or my arcade.
