What works well to seal your control panel/cab?  IE mainly to protect from water/moisture.. as well as create a good surface for painting..  there were tons of different kinds down at home depot..

also i have access to an air compressor with a spray paint attachment.... would like to utilize it if possible :)

I used sanding sealer - about 3 coats because it's pretty thin.  And sand lightly between coats to smooth it down a bit.  Seals the grain perfectly.  I used a brush, though you may be able to use the spray gun.  Brush worked fine for me.

I used a roller on mine to get a slight texture. Use a spray gun if you want that polished glossy smooth car paint job look.

If your not experienced with the gun don't use it. You'll be a lot happier with a roller and you'll be done a lot sooner.
