Best drill bit to install 1/4" Spinner shaft
« on: March 07, 2006, 12:51:11 pm »
Hey Gang,

Did a search and found a range.  What is the ideal bit to use to install a spinner with a quarter inch shaft.

Thanks

Kevin

3/8" ... 1/2" ... It doesn't really matter, as long as the the shaft does not rub the CP ans the knob covers the hole.

Depends on the spinner.

For instance, the Oscar spinners (at least the vortex) requires a larger hole then other spinners because of the small clip on it.

What kind are you talking about?

One with a 1/4" shaft.  I guess I'd like the hole to be as small as possible with out touching the spinner shaft.  I'm just not sure what the next size up from th 1/4" bit is.

5/16ths would probably work.  But, in the end, the hole and shaft are going to be under the top of the spinner, so it probably won't show anyway.
