i got it for christmas (thanks dad!  )

however when playing with it a bit i feel that it is not as good as it seems to be.

it's kinda hard to move around and sometimes it would get stuck a bit.

right now i'm feeling i should've have asked for anlong stick instead.

Like ass.

Analog sticks are really only good for games that came with analog sticks.  They don't play worth a hoot on regular 8-way games.  Try hooking up a regular pc flightstick and play Donkey Kong- it's like that.

Now.. if there was only a way to "fix" the Happs joystick so it'd work better in Tron...

I had the thought of putting some thick foam (from packing materials) on the diagonals and seeing how that would work.. Just haven't had the time or the materials...

I have Logitech Extreme 3D Pro that I fastened to my control panel.  For Tron, it works great for the grid bugs and the MCP cone, but for the tanks and the light cycle it is less than ideal.  It is very easy to hit the diagonals, so your light cycle goes zig-zagging along and sometimes crashes into its own trail... .  It plays great for games that use a triggerstick like Gorf, Zaxxon, etc.  or even some 49-way games like Blaster.  For Sinistar, it is OK,  certainly works better than using an 8-way.  But it is still not ideal for Sinistar or Tron.  I have tried other analog trigger sticks, but the Logitech Extreme 3D PRO is the smoothest and nicest one I have used.  If you want to try out an analog joystick, just buy, or borrow, an inexpensive USB PC joystick, they go for $15 - $50 brand new depending on where you look.  I got my Logitech Extreme 3D PRO from Fry's for $25 on sale.  Newegg.com has them for $29.  Even if you end up not using it very much, it is certainly handy to have one in your arsenal of controls.

I dont know if this is true for all of them, but I have a analog flight stick type controller (usb) that I believe is from Gravis.  One thing I can advise, based on this one, is to make sure you can hit corners with the stick before you get it.  (i.e. that the base isn't a circular hole, but a square one).  I can't hit the corners and it affects gameplay in more then one game.
