I have Logitech Extreme 3D Pro that I fastened to my control panel. For Tron, it works great for the grid bugs and the MCP cone, but for the tanks and the light cycle it is less than ideal. It is very easy to hit the diagonals, so your light cycle goes zig-zagging along and sometimes crashes into its own trail...

. It plays great for games that use a triggerstick like Gorf, Zaxxon, etc. or even some 49-way games like Blaster. For Sinistar, it is OK, certainly works better than using an 8-way. But it is still not ideal for Sinistar or Tron. I have tried other analog trigger sticks, but the Logitech Extreme 3D PRO is the smoothest and nicest one I have used. If you want to try out an analog joystick, just buy, or borrow, an inexpensive USB PC joystick, they go for $15 - $50 brand new depending on where you look. I got my Logitech Extreme 3D PRO from Fry's for $25 on sale. Newegg.com has them for $29. Even if you end up not using it very much, it is certainly handy to have one in your arsenal of controls.
