Howdy, everyone! No, I'm not dead, but nobody would know it because I've been very lousy with my email for the past few months.
Here's the scoop... As many of you know, I work at a large automotive supplier as a mechanical engineering project leader. A number of months ago, I was promoted out of engineering to be the Manager of Automotive Sales for our company. In my company that is a significant promotion, jumping many levels (and people) within the company heirarchy. Good for me, but bad for Oscar...
The bad is that I'm traveling much more frequently and with less notice than ever before. For example, I just found out that I'm leaving for Janesville, WI shortly and won't be back until Christmas Eve. With such hectic traveling, it makes handling Oscar orders impossible.
I still have lots of spinners and knobs in stock, but I haven't even been able to touch them for the past few months. Much of my time right now is being spent getting sales contacts and showing my face around auto plants throughout North America so my customers know who I am... I anticipate that some of my traveling will cut down to a more reasonable level after a while, then I plan to start putting my stock on eBay, or sell through some other means that lets me control the output. Bringing back an online shopping cart right now is out of the question, as that does not really allow me to control the outflow, you know what I mean? I don't want to be getting ready to get on a plane, and then an order for 20 spinners rolls in...
What little time I've had at home lately has been spent with my family so they don't forget who I am.

I've also been tinkering around finishing some arcade projects that have been taking up all the room in my garage for the past year, but that also takes forever when I only get the odd hour or two to work on them.
Anyway, I just thought I would let you guys know that I am still around, but not very involved with the BYOAC hobby at the moment. I will also be revising my website to put all the content and project information back online. The reason I blacked out the main page on my site was because I had so many people wanting to place orders, but they couldn't find out how to purchase becuase I killed the shopping cart links. I realize that having a website up with all sorts of product information with no way to buy them was very confusing to many people, so I just killed the main page until I have a chance to change the look of the site so it doesn't appear that I am trying to sell products, just provide the content and project pages.
Thanks to all that emailed wondering if I am okay or where I was, and sorry that most of you didn't get replies from me.

Later,
Kelsey
