Red Bat top on Happ Perfect 360

I was looking to get two new Happ Perfect 360 sticks for my Mortal Kombat arcade machine, but would really like to have Red bat top sticks.  What handles are compatible with the P360s?

Wico handles fit, and yes they did make some pear-tops back in the day.  Good luck finding new red Wico pear-tops, but if you don't mind used ones, I think I've got some.

SlikStik makes handles for the P-360, including red anodized aluminum pear-tops.  Beautiful, but not cheap.

Has anyone tried a competition handle in a p360?

What i did... I know know a lot of people are going to hate me for this... is used competition bat tops.  They are a little smaller so I wrapped some masking tape around it real tight, until it was the size that the 360 sticks were supposed to be.  It works great, i haven't had any issues at all....

No reason to hate you for that.  In fact, I think I've read of other people doing more or less the same thing.  I suppose the masking tape might break down over time, but it's certainly easy enough to put more on if you notice them getting loose.

Do you just put the masking tape over the bottom of the shaft where the little plastic actuator goes?  I am not fully understanding the tap thing I guess, but it sounds interesting and ghetto enough for me to give a try.

Yeah, I just wrapped it around the metal part where the actuator is.  I initially put on too much then just kept cutting some off until it was a nice fit.

Here's two threads where it's been discussed.  Bottom line is that SlikStik says they don't fit, but the general consensus is that they can probably be made to serve, and at least one guy claims to have done it already.  Still, nobody's posted any actual pics yet.

ah.  perfect....ly confusing.  seems an answer was never really reached.  so...new question.

slikstik handles work in p360s?  any others guaranteed to work with no mods required?
ponyboy has replacements for wicos, so i know where i can get those replaced at.

if slikstik's the only one with p360 replacements, then i'll just buy from two separate vendors.

From the page you linked up:

The (Wico) handle shaft was the exact diameter as the P360 handle. However, the length of the shaft was about 1/16" too short, which prevented me from attaching the E ring. Still, all you have to do is compress the internal spring and the E ring will fit.

So if a Wico handle's 1/16" shorter than a P360 handle, then it seems to me that SlikStik's P360 handles must be 1/16" longer than a Wico handle, yes?  Which means that to use SlikStik's P360 handles in a Wico joy, all you should need to do is put a 1/16" thick spacer (like a washer) between the e-clip and the actuator.
