45 seconds or so to get the search results?  Seems slow.
No crap, don't put your kids in a real fridge.

I was searching for cabs to reference for demon-seed's question in this thread.

I don't remember exactly what the search terms were, but on that search I was only searching the "Project Announcements" forum and the terms were like "cabinet furniture" or something like that.

In any case, I've tried it again and got a much faster response, but I only mentioned it because things were seeming slow in general (opening threads, changing forums etc).  That particular search was the 'straw' that broke the camel's back.  But, like I said, things seem speedier now, so maybe it was just on my end.

Maybe just me :)

How would you know?  You're on dialup.  You probably don't even notice a slowdown, just a general slowness of the site altogether ;)
