Parts delivered (but a small problem)

Well I finally received my goodies today; an iPAC and OptiPAC were delivered first thing this morning and then a few hours later my parts from Happs (UK) turned up. How

I remember a thread which had a comparison of the most popular joysticks but I cannot locate it now.  I like the supers and the only thing that I remember was that the Universals did not come out very high unless you counted the ease of mounting.   I remember that universals were on sale a while ago and I stayed away from them only because of what I remembered reading earlier.

Since we are talking my memory we are talking about something that is great at times but cannot locate my keys 3 min after comming in the dooor.  So any other opinions are welcome.

Yeah i had read that review before, but as with all the joystick reviews/comparisons it only mentions the most popular three Competition, Ultimate, and Super Joysticks. Not the Universals.  

From what i can see by the photos at Ultimarcs the Universal seems to be the same as their E-Stik (Easy-mount stick), so maybe someone here has experience with those?

Although i haven't played any games with the universals yet, the actual feel seems quite nice, but one my main concerns is how to they play in 4-Way mode as i've brought a third to be a dedicated 4-way stick.

I have one Universal on my CP. I use it as a dedicated 4 Way. I am very happy with it in that function. However it has a very short throw, so I wouldn't like it for any 8 way fighters.

 In 4 way the feel is very diamond shaped, I also pop the bottom off, loosen the nut, turn it 45 degrees, and tighten it all back up for a quick changeover to a game of Qbert.

I have an e-stick as player 1 and a super as player 2 and I happen to really like the e-stick, its a little stiff if you go from player 1 right to player 2 but when I consider how many times I do that its no big deal. Also I loved the mounting and the ease of the 4 way 8 way switch.  But with anything its personal taste.  One thing i did do however was swap out the handles with an old super I had so that if you look at my CP, the joysticks are identical from the top.  Besides I didn't like the e-sticks little handle anyway.  Hope that helps!
