Wow, bold, picking against the Pats.

I would never bet against the Pats a week after a humiliating loss.

Yeah, this week is their measuring stick for 2005.  If they are going to be able to stop that inside run they need to prove it against Pittsburgh.  Wilfork did a great job against the Raiders closing off the inside but the Panthers were able to get through.  I'm hoping that Roethleswhatever is more hurt than they say he is... he and Ward put on a show in week 2.

I dont think New England is anywhere near as good as they were last year.  I think losing that offence of cord. really hurt them.  They look stale to me on offence.

Im taking my chances besides I hate New England.

It certainly does look like Weis' loss is a problem.  Losing Bruschi and Johnson has been an issue for them too.  With those guys in there, Davis does not score 3 TDs.

At this rate, it'll be settled by midseason.  Should we implement a "no picking a game another player has already picked" rule to encourage earlier/riskier picks?

Nope, the rules were all agreed to... no point in changing them now.  If it ends quickly that's just a result of most participants sucking.

Suuuure you did.  Where's the post?  I know, you just update the first post to make your picks, which destroys the evidence when you go back later to add JamIt's picks.  How convienent.

Funny, I didn't realize how similar, or nearly exact :), CT and my picks have been.  Rest assured that my picks are have not been influenced by CT.  They are in fact influenced by my office confidence pool, which coincidently I have won the first 4 weeks  ;D

p.s. Chad, I'm leaning towards Indy over San Fran this week.  What do you think? :)

It's by far the surest pick this week.  We may all end up using it.

Not me, I try to stay away from the "sure" picks (after seeing how much good it did folks in the first week).  Denver over Washington.

Yeah, though now that the good teams have shaken themselves out, the sure things are a lot surer.

I would have picked the Bucs over Jets, but I can't pick the Bucs two weeks in a row.   :-\

Why on earth would it matter if their rookie QB was starting for them?  San Fran is a bottom-dwelling team that you shouldn't pick as a winner unless they're playing the local high school football team.  More commonly known as the girl's soccer team.

You flushed your pick by choosing San Fran in the first place.

Anyone over the Texans or 'Niners is considered a lock.  The odds are WAY too stacked in your favor in those games.

Chad?  You still playing?  I don't see your pick for this week.  And since you picked Indy last week, you'd have to go with the Rams tonight.  Don't like those odds.

So, now it's down to two.  Stupid that I lost by DQ, stupid on me, but that's the rule.

I was so focused on my own game sunday I forgot about this.  I played in my first game back from the back injury, started at DE.  Felt damn good to be back and my back sees no more ill effect than the rest of my bruised and cut up body.   :)
