I just moved to Southern Indiana where Walmarts are everywhere. In NJ, there weren't that many.
Here's what I think about Walmart.
Everything is cheap. REALLY cheap. You can buy a pedestal fan, that will blow your desk over, for $11.
Don't expect it to work as quietly, or last nearly as long as the $22 fan from somewhere else.
So, buy junk, expect junk, and get new junk later.
I would never buy a lawn tractor there, since I'd beat it to shreds in less than one summer, but I'll sure as hell buy a fan or toys for my maniac kids. CD's and stuff like that is a bonus, since it's the same quality no matter what you buy.
WM will sell you a black and decker cordless drill, and it will be cheaper, and of lesser quality, then the same B&D drill at say sears or some tool shop.
The convenience of going to one store, getting underpants, a car battery, an enema, 3 lbs of ground beef, and some rubber hose is incredible, as well as to raise an eyebrow or two when you check out.
