5k pot joystick hacks
« on: July 28, 2005, 03:05:48 pm »
Is there a list of cheap analog PC joysticks that use 5K pots so they can be hacked like a Dual Strike.   Was hoping to find a hack that also had force feedback capability and used USB HID drivers.

I've never seen a list.  I actually posted this thread a while back trying to get one together; you can see how much interest I got.

C'mon, folks, anybody?  This seems like a handy resource for the community.  If you've done a hack, what controller did you use?

take a note here.  the dual strike uses 20k pots.  But they originally only made a 1/4 turn max.  So a 5k difference.

And you can hack any analog controller.  but you loose resolution.
