Hi, I'm looking for advice on control panel layouts I designed.

Consider swapping the 3" trackball and 4-way E-stick positions.  This give more symmetry for marble madness and puts the 4-way front and center for Pac-Man, etc.  (Worse for golden tee).

Not sure how different size trackball will affect 2-p Marble M. . .

Hopefully others will be more helpful.

I like your thinking there.  I'll see if I can make that work.  My guess is that that 4-way stick is going to get the most use (compared to the spinner and trackballs), so it really should be centered up more.

Thanks for the input!  Anyone else?

space-permitting, also plan to include analog joystick on this panel to play Tron, and most other analog joystick games.

Tron doesn't use an analog stick.
It's a modified 4-way top-fire, that will barely hit the diagonals.
The restrictor on it keeps it from acting as a TRUE 8-way, which prevents zig-zagging in the lightcycle stage.

With the exception of a 49-way, with a GGG adapter, Tron will not play well with any other single stick.
You can program a 4-way, and an 8-way to control the game simultaneously however.
That will let you pick which stick to use on which stage, allowing 4-way only in the lightcycles, and 8-way in the other stages.

2 cents worth:

From what you are showing on the 4 ply panel,
dont put items smack up against the wood
sides that will be underneath... meaning your buttons up on top...
make sure they have a LITTLE more clearance than
a 'close fit'
