It's funny how simple the device is too. Foam on one side for friction with what you put on it, smooth plastic on the otherside so it slides easily. You'd think someone would have come up with that sooner.
I still think the casters on my emulation cabinet is more useful. But for an old cabinet that doesn't have wheels it is nice. What's nice about wheels is they work better on any surface.
But, since my dad had to help move two kids to and from college for the last 9 years he made a nice platform with large casters and a rope for pulling. Just stack tubs or whatever on it and pull

But it came in useful for moving the asteroids machine. He has big enough wheels on it that it rolls decent over grass. That's how I got it into the apartment. Unload cabinet from trailer in parking lot. Roll across lawn to patio door. Once inside put it on those sliders and moved it where I wanted it. And I have textured carpet too. I used the larger ones in the pack. The smaller sliders might not have handled the textured carpet as well.
The combination of the two just made moving it a breeze.
