I missed something too. But I'm guessing that someone noticed someone else bidding on something on a certain online auction, then that someone posted something with the auction link, but someone else realised that it's in everyone's best interest not to show everyone the certain auction that someone is bidding on until it's all over. Or something like that.

This Auction is what I posted before it was over, then I edited it out. I don't see why people get all worked up over posting auctions. If someone gets an idea from a thread and does a simple search (like I did) they will find it anyway.

Just as long as they don't cyber-beat-your-ass, I'm pretty sure you'll be ok and come out of it with flying colors   Stop worrying - seems like there's a joke in the works, so I'd bet the indignation isn't the kind to lose sleep over

Auctionsniper is DA BOMB!  Been using it for 4 years, you just can't beat THAT kind of satisfaction.  1% of the auction win up to $500.00 ($5.00 fee) .25 cent minimum for each WIN.  No charge for a losing bid!

true, but if you find a really undervalued item, and people haven't fought it out and bid it up, the person with the high bid at the time may not figure it's worth putting a higher proxy bid on it...it may stagnate and people may figure it's about the price where it should end- that's where a snipe is handy (either hand sniped or through a service..why get into a bidding war if you don't have to?
