I missed something too. But I'm guessing that someone noticed someone else bidding on something on a certain online auction, then that someone posted something with the auction link, but someone else realised that it's in everyone's best interest not to show everyone the certain auction that someone is bidding on until it's all over. Or something like that.

What I'd really like to do is get my hands on a full kit to reverse engineer the front end, but those are super expensive. Have I said too much?

Hey, all the bad 80s films ARE NOT for me, they are for the van driver at my work who isn't smart enough to use ebay by himself so he just tells me what movies he wants and I order them for him!!

This Auction is what I posted before it was over, then I edited it out. I don't see why people get all worked up over posting auctions. If someone gets an idea from a thread and does a simple search (like I did) they will find it anyway.

true, but if you find a really undervalued item, and people haven't fought it out and bid it up, the person with the high bid at the time may not figure it's worth putting a higher proxy bid on it...it may stagnate and people may figure it's about the price where it should end- that's where a snipe is handy (either hand sniped or through a service..why get into a bidding war if you don't have to?
