Wiring buttons - Removing "OK" start screen
« on: June 12, 2005, 07:34:57 am »
I had the feeling "right after I hit send" that this one should have gone in main forum.

this might not be the answer that you're looking for, but you can just wiggle the joystick left to right instead of hitting a button.

Searching the forum would have found answers such as....

Just change the skip_gameinfo and skip_warnings in the mame.ini file to 0(zero)

I did think about doing a search, but didn't know if I would find useful info for both windows and dos, or just the dos version. It's sort of been my understanding that you guys mainly run the dos version of MAME (tm).  So I'm lazy.....  ;D

Thanks for the tip on the joystick wiggle Steve.  :)

MAME32 (not sure about mamewah) have the option to bypass the ok screen...

Options -> Interface Options

on top right of the window that opens...

there are some options to check but i am not sure which one skips the OK screen so just check "Skip disclaimer" and "Skip game info" and you won't see OK screen unless the rom has error.

My website: www.bossyman15.com Lots of arcade pictures inside!

Hey Spriggy,

Thanks man for the tissue  :'( -  I'd run out this morning!   ;D

This board is heavily opinionated? NAAAAAAAH....you must be joking.   :)

I've just got to learn when to read things and when to post them.   ;)

Tiger, thanks for the link!
