applying new skin to mamewah?
« on: June 13, 2005, 08:08:41 am »
Man this is stupid question,

I made a new layout with the tool in mamewah using my new skin as the background.  When i apply the layout and run mamewah the background is showing up grey.  I checked the paths in the layout to the .jpg file and all is well there.  Is there anything i should know?  Needs to be certain color depth or size etc?  Thanks

Is the background image named properly? Lets say your emulator in questions ini file is named mame.ini. Then the background needs to be named mame-main.jpg. The ini readme in the docs folder explains the naming convention. I also have a tutorial here:

Good Luck,
John
