Interesting combo of the two symbols.

Are you going to incorporate any figures into the art?  I think the Alternators are friggin' awesome.

I am in fact planning to use some characters.  I have Felsir contracted to vector some characters.  Meanwhile Pixelhugger is going to do the full artwork for me.  I really wont go into the scope of the project too much for fear of people saying "Oh it will never get done".  However it involves the following.

35" Multisync Monitor
10" Touchscreen (Thanks gozur!)
(2) 21" monitors.

As you can tell its definitely...  More than meets the eye.  Heh.  Had to do it.

If you're needing any reference images let me know.  I might be able save you some time.  Although if you're already having stuff vectorized you've probably already got all you need.  I had a similar idea at one time, but mine was going to be based around Unicron.  8)

Heh.  Yeah I recall that project actually.  I'm going to be using some images from the recently defunct Dreamwave Production comics.  They have some really good artwork.

Glad to hear it.  There's also a Transformers encyclopedia that has pics and descriptions.  Give it a thumb through if you ever run across it.

Starscream is the one I remember.  He was the Red and White one who always wanted to take Megatrons leadership from him.

I don't want to tip your cards AD - but thought I'd tell everyone after seeing samples of the art to be vectored, it's nothing short of spectacular. And with Felsir on board it's only gonna get better.  :)

I figure... why wait to show the images I have chosen...  so these are the images I have selected thus far.  It may be narrowed down more than this, but right now I am considering having all of them done.

Just Megs and Prime on here.  Enlarged Image

Megatron on this one Enlarged Image

I really like the second one with Prime and Megatron.   What's up with Prime on the last one?  Is he not a diesel truck anymore?  I'm sorry, but the Decepticons had just way cooler guys.  Shockwave, Soundwave, Insectacons, Devastator... the list goes on.  I guess I'm biased.  ;D

The last image is from "The War Within" Storyline.  Just one of multiple timelines that the transformers have been in.  He's still a truck, but it looks a tad different.  ;)  I just think he looks bad@zz in that pose.

I also added links for full sized copies of the above images.  ;)  Felsir, I know you needed that.

Do you know who the artist was on any of those? I knew some Hasbro people back in the day. I even co-oped there once in college....back when it was still called Kenner.

Powerful image... I'm not too fond of the 'lensflares', but a great battle shot. Could be a CP image (cool P1 vs P2 image).

Neat poses :) Megatron's pose looks more powerfull than Optimus' pose however.

This image looks out-of-place stylewise.

I've been planning on doing a TF cab for about 3 years now, but until we buy a house with room for one...

I did start vectorizing some images a while back though as practice:

I too have been waiting for a move.  ;)  I am moving in August/September so thats when the construction should begin.  I have a couple months to wait on the artwork to be completed anyway.

Good work on those vectors.  If I was doing this using the animated series as the inspiration I would be all over seeing if I could get those from ya.

I, for one am a big TF fan along with my best friend. I can honestly say, from the get go, that you are going to produce the SWEETEST cab to date.  :o I give you some serious KUDOS for the undertaking. All your hard work will definitely pay off. Just be patient. This will take some serious time and effort. *Tips hat to the team involved* I just hope after I have really gotten my feet wet in my first TRON cocktail cab, that I am able to give back to this awesome community.

Cheers, Craig

Its time consuming and its an art.  ;)  Simpler items can be vectored relatively easily but more complex images take some tremendous amounts of time.

it's time consuming and it may be really difficult depending on the material you are tracing.

I recomend you take a look at the Frostillicuss Tutorial and that you start tracing with something  easy
like http://www.localarcade.com/4images/details.php?image_id=883&mode=search
or more fancy the caracters from the ZooKeeper marquee http://www.localarcade.com/4images/details.php?image_id=242

I'm on the planning stage

Personally, it seems to have a little too much "kiddie" look to it in my opinion though. But I like my Transformaers mean. ;)

I remember watching the transformers many years ago and this sort of project reminds me of how cool it was, now i want to watch a few episodes and relive all that goodness.( it's gotta be the old original TF though)

I can't wait to see everything upon completion but i seem to forget about this section of byoac sometimes.
