Hi,

I have this Mini-Flipper , i'm looking for any information you can have.

The PCB inside is Pinball Action. There is no brand on the cab. Who did that? What year? Is it commun?

Super Pinball by Electro-Plastics. Not common, it was a French company, there were several different versions of the game. Year is 1983.

You will probably NEVER find a board. Looks neat as it is though, I would keep it if I were you.

Similar games include Chicago Coin's Super Flipper, and I think there was one other, it is eluding me now, but the Electro-Plastics ones were the only ones in those teeny tiny shorty cabinets.

Or there is a mild chance that someone did a video conversion of a shorty type pinball, but I don't see any scoring stuff on the backglass.

Or this might also be a previously unknown game that just happened to be in a shorty pinball cabinet like the Electro-Plastic ones were. Yours is certainly different from the ones on their flyer, but has a few extreme similarities.

Nope, I was wrong, it is a Rumatic "Mini Flipper", made in Spain, mid 80s. Almost no information out there other than lists of flyers people own, and a dead link for a photo of the game.

Read my updated message, "Mini Flipper" was made by Rumatic in Spain, about 1986. I can't find any info on it other than the name, manufacturer or year.

Yes, i'm very happy to have found that! (in fact i played on this one (really this one not another cab like that) when i was 14 or 15 year old , and now it's mine!

)

Could be a nice cab for VPinMame... but it is not my project. I want to keep it like that.

What is this model? Is it the Rumatic one from Spain?? If yes, it seems very different than mine.

My understanding is that this is the Rumatic "Mini Flipper" from 1986

There was also a Rumatic "Mini Flipper 2" in 1987 but I haven't seen a picture of it.

can you post a few closeup shots of the marquee, instructions, playfield etc?

also, look under the bottom and around the back for any kind of labels
maybe open the coin door and look around in there too

I love the idea of a vpin cab in this shape.

European game makers are famous for having all sorts of alternate cabinets and junk, and flyer pictures cannot always be trusted, many times the flyers go out way ahead of the games themselves, and the production models end up looking quite different than the final versions.

None of the pictures that I have found have that curved cutout on the back
but the picture of the "Mini Flipper" does have a lot of similarities like those two round buttons on the front for example.
I'm thinking it's a Rumatic "Mini Flipper 2"
Maybe if he emails those guys I told him about they'll be able to verify what it is.

thanks to all.

I checked every where there is absolutly no sticker , sign or information on the manufacturer.

The size is about 1m60 x 1m x 80cm (i didn't really measured , it is just an approximation)

the screen could be 20 inch. I will try to get real measures as soon as possible.

I'm going to email the guy at pinballspain.

I still like yours better, it actually looks like a pinball machine. The machine in your bottom pic has had a thread here before. I still think it's needs a backglass, and I'm curious to see how they hold up long term.

It is just a stamp of the company who was renting this cabinet to Arcade. It was ElectroFlip , it was a little company in my city. Not a manufacturer. Nice Try.

You're not alone. Suddenly I NEED the dimensions on this machine. It should be a snap, actually. I wonder why nobody though of this sooner! (Maybe they did and I just didn't notice.)

What about a quick n dirty sketch with some of the general measurements?

ie:
- Length, height and width of the main body.
- Height from floor to top of the glass.
- Height of the backglass box

I think that should be enough for people to design from...

I would LOVE to have one... but have a feeling my wife wont let me do it.

But I have a dream of future pinball being finished with support for pinmame... Adding the eyetoy type head placement... To have the ultimate in home every - pinball pinball machine.

Actually I think it wouldn't be too tough to design one yourself. Start with the monitor and just build around that. The bottom part only needs to big enough to accomidate the monitor and coin door. Everything else can go behind the back glass. I'm seriously thinking about building one of these.

Anyone have a source for pinball legs and glass hardware?

I know what I said about posting ebay auctions in the B/S/T forums (I don't like it), but this is different. It's from an ebay store...

The seller lives in South Carolina, and it looks like it's for local pickup only. They only want $350 for it, and I think it's working.

Are you looking to set up a "plunger - like" switch, Stingray?

It might be pretty simple to hack one together. A regular plunger and spring assembly with a way to trigger an opto switch with a modded actuator on the plunger itself, with a rubber bumper stop of sorts to simulate hitting the "ball"... It might not be that hard to hack one together.
