Hackable USB Joypad
« on: November 15, 2002, 11:50:50 am »
i want to make a second MAME joystick, the one im using is allready using the soundcard/joystick port, so this one would have to be USB.

i have a 'MS Sidewinder PRO USB Gamepad'
but im pretty sure its not hackable bacause:

\
 +   = LEFT ----
/

a bit difficult to explain, to move left, it presses 2 buttoms the same time ect.

heres a pic of my current Joystick (old Amiga Arcade Joystick+hacked Gravis Destroyer Gamepad).

has anyone had expirience with USB joypads and could mention one that possibly work?
thanks :)

ive been doin a lot of padhacks using the gravis usb pro stick, they are under $20 and pretty easy to hack, i wish they had a common ground though, that is my only complaint 8)

I just hacked a Saitek P750. Easy enough, but don't cut any of the wires on it. (or if you do, connect 'em back up).
