Problem with proprietary connectors is you have to scavenge them.

Try finding a bunch of NES controller extension cables. Cheap, no one'll miss 'em, and you get a male and female from each one.

You could also attack 4-Scores and Satellites, but that kills a perfectly good accessory.
...
Or dead decks.

Turning a 4 score into a USB would be insanely awesome.

they do that, just check out retrozone...their expensive, but you can also get parts to do it yourself.

Therefore wasting the console!  Check extension cords, they ARE your best bet, guarantee.

Many NES systems have died over the past 20 years. Yes some of them are 20 years old!

Find a broken one (not one that just cant read games right. they can be fixed with a new connector for very cheap) and steal it. If you want a really cool way to house the connector to your mame machine... use pieces from the shell to make it look authentic.

Broken NES are easier to find than snowflakes in a blizzard.  They are EVERYWHERE.  They are far more common than controller extension cords, Satellites, or anything else of that nature.  Just find a crappy NES and salvage from that.

They must be available somewhere, and cheap.  That blackchopper place seems to find them.  I would love to find out where to get some myself.
