FT: VF2 Deluxe cab, 50" monitor
« on: January 28, 2005, 01:47:49 pm »

This sucker works well, I just don't have room for it.  My wife wants her study back.  I was going to MAME it but I think I'd rather have an upright CRT now.

I'm in MA... shipping is probably out of the question.

Here are some pics, the cab isn't assembled in them because this is just my post feeling out interest.  The game board works, is intact and complete, and the monitor works as well.  Sideart is very nice as it's had plexi over it all this time.  The plexi is off in the pics since I was cleaning it when I took them.

At this point, I don't have a set price as the post says FT.   ;)

I have never shipped a cab before, so I'm going to try and deal this locally first.  Ideal for me is to trade it for either a vector cab (other than Space Duel or Asteroids Deluxe) or a CRT cab with 27" or larger (empty is fine).

Of course, I'm always willing to listen to all proposals, no matter how OT.

I can get plenty of those from tuna cans, so no thanks.  I take the tuna and combine it with meat paste to get the dolphins.

The monitor doesn't seem viewable in the light.  Is that just in the picture?  How viewable is it in regular room light?  The picture also looks a little Blue, is that also from the picture?

The monitor is a BIT dim, but playable in the light.  The light in that room is very bright and right in front of the screen, meaning glare even on a low glare screen.  When I first got it it was really dim, so I took the screen off and cleaned the projector lenses.  That made a HUGE difference, the lenses looked like someone had been using them as an ash tray.

The color may be off, I have never made a real effort to balance it.  It's certainly not working poorly, it's just not adjusted in those pics.
