Just a quick question about it.. what's the rectangular cutout on the left side of this marquee? I've seen it in various places with it cutout, with notches in it, and also with it solid(various repro's and originals)
SOme of the cutout ones lead me to beleive its to cover the speaker, but the solid ones make me doubt that

Any insight?
