Pac Man (Midway, with speedup hack) HELP NEEDED ****
« on: January 16, 2005, 12:57:24 pm »
I have the newest HsDat file, but Pac Man(midway, speedup hack) will not save my high scores. All of the other clones of Pac Man do. Any one have any ideas?

The rom name is pacmanf

Thanks,
Craig

Have you checked the hiscore.dat file to see if it's supported?

The Pac-Man and Ms.Pac-Man with speed up hacks are my favourite dot eating games. So much better to play at this speed!

I can confirm that they do work as my games save high scores. (My Pac-Man high is around 167,000. No doubt that will be crap compared to most.  ;))

Perhaps the rom name has changed at some point creating a mismatch between the high score file and the rom name itself. I'm only guessing here but it could be something like this. What version of Mame and HS.dat are you using? If one is a lot older/newer than the other then this could be the prob.
