Love it!

Why not do like all the good BYOAC'rs here who have an auction & want to promote it... put FA: in front of your subject and you won't get negative replies.  FA means For Auction.

I like the T-shirt!   :)

Do you have any other arcade related designs?  I looked through your eBay Store and did not see any listed.

I'd like to have something with multiple characters on it.  Kinda like the GTA (Grand Theft Auto) shirt you are offering, with the exception of the web address on the front.  I'm not a big proponent of paying for a product to primarily advertise for a business.  Maybe you could move the web address to the sleeve?

Let me know if you come up with any other arcade designs.

Good luck,

Scott

I saw that shirt on TV about a week ago. Did you get some actors to wear your shirt? It didn't look like that though. It was a little different.

I agree that the A & F shirt looks better, but I would only wear it if it didn't say original gangstas.  If it said Space Invaders or even nothing at all it would be way better.

I'm not sure I understand how "Original Gangstas" relates in any way to Space Invaders. Maybe I'm just incredibly unhip.

Indeed.  Original-yes....Gangstas-wtf?
I don't get it?  Seems like just trying to put a "hip" slogan on something regardless of whether it makes sense.
Reminds me of one of my favorite sayings:
"Well, you're half right."

I thought the slogan made total sense, and is great... Its because Space Invaders was the first (Original) mainstream shooter, and there is a gang of them (Gansta's) coming for you. They're the first video thugs.

99.99% of the public knows nothing about Computer Space or other very early games, so the  blurb is apt enough.

No, it really is just trying to attach something like Space Invaders with a so-called cool phrase.  Personally I think today's lingo sucks (hella this, bling bling that) but that's another story.  If they needed to attach a saying they could have put something like awesome, gnarly or something else that people from the Space Invaders playing era would have said (and I still do, to the chagrin of my wife.)

wow, lots of replies =)

About the idea for it - wow, A&F shirt!  Honestly didnt see that particular shirt before, but I did "borrow" the idea from somewhere....

I was at Target and saw a guy wearing a shirt that had the bad guys from Super Mario for NES (goomba, turtle, flower, etc).  It was boxed in like our Space Invaders shirt and said Original Gangstas on the top/bottom.  WOW I thought, I gotta "borrow" that idea......me getting into the whole old-school arcade scene recently with building my cab and whatnot, thought it would look cool to use the Space Invaders instead of the Mario guys and BAM - magic =)   Obviously my moment of genius wasnt the first after seeing that shirt, but hey - probably cheaper =)

thanks for the comments and about the Original Gangstas on any of the 3 shirts, I think TOK explained it perfectly - old school games, some of the first bad guys in a game (be it Mario or Space Invaders even further back).  Just for the touch of humor to the shirt

OH, and heres a black version an eBayer requested and I thought it looked pretty damn good so we put it up too

I think the whole point was to attach the past to the present, but whatever. I'd consider wearing the OG version, I think a Space Invaders shirt with the phrase Gnarly on it is about equivilant to Spock ears for total dork effect.  ;D

So using the word gnarly makes someone a dork?  Don't you think somebody my age or older (and I would say majority of the people on here are in their late 20s or early 30s) would sound stupid saying OG or slang to that effect?  I'll buy into your attaching the past to the present scenario, but for what reason?  Like I said earlier, a shirt without the text would be better.

But as for the veiled name-calling...
I'm so sorry I can't be cool like you TOK ::)

LOL

Sorry didnt remember that - no we dont have any official licensed gear, but we also dont sell anything claiming that or using logos.  Exception being the Tampa shirts, but we didnt make those - we bought massive quanity to sell on ebay.

And like the Browns shirts, those are all custom made logos.  The Browns dont have a logo, just an orange helmet.  Or if we made say Dolphins shirts, we'd get like a variation of the Dolphin, but not their official Dolphin.

We used to have some Pistons/Lakers shirts, that we were made to take down because they used their logo in it.  They told us the rest of the stuff was fine as long as it doesnt use a logo, or claim to be official anywhere.  In their words "as long as we (being eBay) dont know exactly whos logo/design it is, its assumed you have permission from the designer to use it"

People like the custom look alot though.  I mean of course we still get some customers that only want official licensed gear, and we just let them know we dont carry any.  But alot of people like the different looks, being able to ask for different looks specifically for them, etc.  Has turned into a nice side-job for me and my buddy.

Well, if you're late 20's to early 30's you're younger than me. Anyone using the phase Original Gangsta (or any form of ebonics) sounds stupid to me, but slightly less stupid than someone still saying Gnarly (or Bogus).

Here was my point... You said the Original Gansta phrase made no sense (which I feel is totally incorrect), then offered up an alternative that truly made no sense.  Unless you happen to already be wearing a Space Invaders shirt that says Gnarly right now, I didn't call you a dork.

Well, if you're late 20's to early 30's you're younger than me.

What does my supposedly being younger have to do with?  I said somebody my age or older, which according to you, includes you.

Anyone using the phase Original Gangsta (or any form of ebonics) sounds stupid to me, but slightly less stupid than someone still saying Gnarly (or Bogus).

While we agree on something (the OG talk), I'm going to end this conversation with you.  You can claim that the dork comment wasn't a swipe at me but anyone can see you are now calling me stupid.  I seriously doubt you're as old as you say you are when you have to resort to name calling, but then again maybe you just can't find another way to express yourself.  Go ahead and reply, get in the last word or whatever.  But this is my last response to you on this topic (or any other).

Tshizzle.com:  Sorry to hijack your thread for a couple of posts.

Settle down Beavis. You brought up the age thing, not me. I didn't think it had any relevance at all, I simply replied to your comments!
Your whole thought process seems quite chaotic to me, but I didn't mean to hurt any feelings.

Sorry.
