Do you have a Home Depot nearby?

Hey man I found what you're looking for at home depot.  Can't recall what it's called but its flexible and real thin (not hard like plexi) and very easy to drill through without worrying about breakage.  1/16" or so.

The problem is that this is for a Q*bert machine where the bottom of the marquee sits in a little groove and the top part if held back by a retainer bar. So it cannot be thicker than the groove. So I need REALLY thin stuff so the "sandwich" isnt too thick.

Home depot only had thicker stuff. Is there a name for the stuff that you got from them?

Thanks,
Craig

Polycarbonate is probably what he was using.  It's more flexible and easier to work with, but more prone to scratches than plexiglass.  The common brand name for it is Lexan.  Plexiglass is actually a brand name for acrylic.

A glass store will be able to order whatever you need, if they don't have it on hand.

You might also be fine with some clear but sturdy plastic sheets from an art store.

make your front layer the standard 1/8th" thick, and then your back layer can be the super thin sheets. Your retainer should hold it all up straight if it's tight enough.
NO MORE!!

If you want something really thin, try cellophane.  You can get a whole roll of it at a grocery store for under 3 dollars. ;D

Seriously though, I had the same problem.  Luckily there is a plastic company in my city called Lustercraft.  They can get any thickness from nothing to inches thick...  Good Luck
