Color Changing LEDS?
« on: August 08, 2004, 12:10:22 am »
Does anyone know some other sources of color-shifting LEDS? I have purchased them from allelectronics.com before, and they are awesome...but the initial cycle shifts through all of the colors very quickly before slowing down.

I guess I'm just wondering if there are some other options for color shifting leds, because I can't seem to find any.

BTW, here is the link for the ones from allelectronics.com

I bought some RGB LED's and then programmed an AVR to use PWM to cycle through the colors.  I was going to put the schematics and code online.  If you don't like AVR's, the same effect could be created using a 555, a counter and some transistors.  I know someone posted the schematics a while back.  Either way you can control the speed.
