The easiest way for you to figgure this out is to make a full size model from cardboard and measure it.

I wouldn't trust anyone's math, unless I knew him really well.

use the pythagorean theorem
9 inch deep bottom, 0.5 inch rise
9^2 + 0.5^2 = top^2 or
9.014 about 9 1/64 inch deep top

but you are using a lot of different dimensions (16 wide then 12 wide or deep?) in your post so if that's not right just substitute the real depth of the bottom and the real height difference between the back and front pieces for the calculated depth of the top piece

plz be careful about the height of the thing....

if its only 1.5 in high, it might not be enough for the stick
and the buttons... (definitely not enough for verticals...
not sure about horizontals....)

also.... keep in mind thickness of the boards....
or else you'll be off a bit also....

if you're using super/competition stick with horizontal buttons, then 2.5 in should be good....

if you're using vertical buttons... you *might* need a little more... you can go to the Happs site... they have mounting views with all lengths... so, you'll know....
