/edit Now I really need to get going and hang this beauty above my cabs!!!  Anyone have a manual on the Cruis'n USA topper? I think I can figure out the voltages but I don't want to accidently let out the magic smoke....



Is this a working leader light and player 1 or player 2 lights up based on whoever is in the lead or does only the marquee light up? I saw pictures of that before but I have never known anyone who has one. If it doesn’t light up individual racers you can use my code and add a led strip to light up the leader if light will shine through the sides. If it does light up, I have no clue Cruis’n had that feature.

I can confirm that Cruis’n World 4 player works great.

I can also confirm that the outputs (race leader light) works. However , when you do a lan game, not only is there the 1/10 race leader, the screen has a new 1/num players (2/4 if in 2nd place and havr 4 racers) as well so I will have to find the memory address for that and update the lua script so the race leader light lights up when leading the other racers instead of needing to be in 1st place of every single car.

Note I did get an error when testing lan (before implementing race leader lights) below but I want to say this was when I only had some of the four racers going and since the Mame.ini points in a circle, I expect this is normal. The next time I have a party I will have to thoroughly test with friends.

Small correction… Cruis’n World does have the multiplayer lan 1 / 4 extra memory address shown on screen. Cruis’n USA only has the x / 10 overall standing on the screen. So for Crusn USA I would have to write the current players position to a file, monitor who is ahead of the other person a few times every second and light up the race leader light based on who is ahead. For now I will leave Crusn USA race leader light code to only shine when in first and for Crusn World I will have to find the memory address for who is in 1st of the four (or three or two) racers.

 Can anyone confirm if force feedback works for Mame Crusn USA and World? Like actually work when hitting other cars and stuff?

Both games didn't have FFB crash effects. They really didn't make much use of the FFB beyond resistance. You can get that working with FFB arcade plugin.

Race leader lights are output via MAME outputs.
