So fixed the issue with the desync/slowdown, just had to make sure I exported my info to mame when setting up the vmodes.
now I have a new issue!!
whenever I use -noautosync I get screen tearing.
Any thoughts ?

Hi guys,
Long time groovymame user...
I updated my system a long time back from Windows XP 64 to Windows 8 at some point... and I had groovymame running great.
Couple of days ago, I upgraded to 8.1 and since then I'm having issues where games will lag for a second...
I'll give you an example...
I'll load up SFA3, and during the intro, the theme song will be playing... then the music will go out of tune for a second, then catch back up etc... and I notice when I'm playing the game that I get visual tearing during gameplay. This makes me think that maybe it's not running at the right framerate or something?
If I use 'noautosync' it will work, but I know that's not how groovymame is meant to work.
I tried installing Windows 7 and 10 as well and ran into the same issues. I'm using a Wells Gardner and everything just used to work.
The resolutions seem right, everything looks nice, but it's just as if something is not running at the right rate or at least not running at the right rate sometimes.
When I exit out, I see it report that groovymame ran at about 98>99.98% speed but it's not a cpu issue as it's barely being used.
Do you have any thoughts, or is there any way I can troubleshoot this?
Cheers,
Matt
