SNK/NeoGeo button layout for console games??
« on: February 11, 2004, 03:35:46 pm »
I'm building a mult-interface arcade stick, but I'm only using it for consoles (so far: PSX, DC, SNES, maybe Genesis and N64).  I am still not sure how I'm going to lay out the buttons (I'm leaning toward the "classic" Capcom-figher style).  My question is, that fourth (seventh, in this case) button found on SNK/NeoGeo cabs;

*   <---- this one; if I"m using my controls for consoles only, will I ever need that button layout?  Are there any console games that used this layout in arcades?

if you are talking about neogeo only, that is the a button. all games use it. the further you get to the end the less it is used. d isused bu alot of games but not *all*.

but you can wire it up how ever you want, on consoles it would never get used, i would say.
