Sun in Phoenix ain't no joke. I don't think I've ever been anywhere that's that bright. Lack of clouds in the sky, no big trees, no tall buildings... no idea why it's like that, but there was a severe lack of verticality and shade. It was almost overwhelming, I felt like a human ant under a magnifying glass.

Bring long sleeves and sunglasses, European.

So the trailer floor has been a bit weak around the vents for a while now. Last month my fat ass cracked the floor around the vent and almost went through. The problem is the heating vents are so wide that you can't get to that area of the floor from underneath. I was cleaning out the vents in preparation for laying a new floor when I figured out how to remove a section of the vent pipe from inside the house. Some 2x4's for bracing screwed in via pocket holes (man that kregg jig has paid for itself a million times over) and the floor is sturdy again.

So who has two thumbs and doesn't have to spend all next week putting a floor in? This guy.

Finally after 13 years of trying and with temperatures heading for high 30's (In the UK) our boss has finally capitulated and allowed tailored shorts to be worn at work. Oh yeah, today I am going to the work dressed for the beach, Blue cotton shorts, short sleeved cotton shirt and a pair of Super Mario Mushroom Vans, still gonna be too bloody hot though.
