Prolly not.  Just plywood with a nice pecan stain.  I have several lcd monitors that need to get used or get gone.   I plan to have one for vertical games to be played with a 4 way stick.  Maybe more, but that is it for now.

BTW, have you ever played eyes?  That game is great!  Play some Blue Oyster Cult in the background.

Thinking back, I seem to recall a marquee space below the control panel.  Does anyone have the positioning of that?

Several pics in the Depleted Uranium Thread ( http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,142577.msg1477025.html#msg1477025 )

Since you mention having extra monitors - perhaps a partially hidden LCD with an active marquee ?

Should work -- figure a 19" 4:3 monitor is approx. 15.5 x 11.5 inches and the inner panles are 18 inches wide - so plenty of room if going vertical (18 - 11.5 = 6.5" bezel or 3.25" per side) and still a bit of room if going horizontal (18 - 15.5 = 2.5" bezel or 1.25" per side )

And you could make it a bit wider and still fit to a single 96" sheet ( 96 inch - 2 side panels and 10" top panel on plans (96 - (22+22+10) = 42 inches for inner panels width or about 20" panels (once you subtract the saw blade width))

Ok cool. The guy thats giving me the the 19inch is also making me take a 17 as well. But i would prefer to go as big as i can vertically and still have room for some kind of nintendo style bezel. Im leaning toward a Dk 3 tully.

Speaking as someone who has built two, if you go vertical then a 15 incher is going to be your best bet. Horizontal, you'd be ok with 19.

Is that due to viewing angle due to the top plate and overall height ?

Don't forget, you're mounting the controls to the same panel the monitor goes on. You have to account for the fact you lose almost an inch off the front right off the bat because the front end of the panel rests on the front of the machine. You have to account for not only the joystick, but also the wiriing that usually extends off and out from the bottom of the stick. There's not THAT much room under there. Honestly,  a 15" screen works just fine on a Tully.

To put it in perspective, I'm using a 13" arcade CRT in the Q*Beret, and you can see how tight that is.

If you look at Depleted Unraniun, Jay used a 13" CRT.

I love Yot's Qbert. That little CRT is the coolest.
If you can read this, it means Photobucket's money grab ruined my signature photos.

Thanks for the talk.  I'll have to look around the basement and garage to see.

Did someone make one with a speaker hole on the front?  I mean I'd probably be standing too close and end up covering it anyway.  Just a sanity check.  There is plenty to go on.

Atari Battlezone cabaret puts it at the bottom. I thought that was good place for it.

Thanks.

I have a small LCD that has been in the garage.  I'm gonna bring it in after work and let it aclimate.  Anyone know the operating temp range of an LCD.  Its about 20 deg. where I am.

Well i just looked over the plans afain and at my 17 inch monitor. Its only gonna leave me 3 inches for the cp. I need to rethink this through. I can ho smaller monitor or new cab design.
