  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Is the http://theboneyardpdflibrary.com/index.php website worth it?

Does anyone want to admit they paid the $30 to get artwork from it?

I know I am going to get a ton of hate replies to this thread because you guys hate how places like
http://theboneyardpdflibrary.com/index.php are charing $$$ for art work you can find for free
by Googling, but I'm just curious if anyone admits to using it and what they think about it
if all I want is high quality artwork and NOT manuals etc.

Why don't you pay the $30 and answer the question for us?

I don't honestly know anyone who has paid for it, so you'd be a trailblazer...

^ this -- since unless you pay the $30 annual fee upfront they do not allow you to view any hint of what specific items they actually have available - so no way to tell if they have a specific item you are looking for or what kind of quality any of the art actually is !

  • Worthless button pusher!
Answer would depend on the source of the artwork files and if it is Classic Arcade Grafix dump that a number of vendors picked up on back in the day. If you get access to that (and probably more), $30 doesn't sound like a bad price. Back when a number of us paid $50 just for the CAG files.

Of course, there are vendors who also provide printed artwork from that same CAG stash, so if you are looking for a particular piece of printed art, you may be better off elsewhere.

It's the arcade boneyard, I would expect that most of it is scraped from other sites.   I personally would never support the arcade boneyard, but that's just my 2 cents.

  • Obey.
    • The Chris Burke Band
I've bought parts from him, he's fine.

The PDFs are probably the same ones that were passed around... 10? years ago as Cheffo mentioned earlier.  Those were pretty good quality.
