This is not my project and I have no affiliation other than having pre-ordered an electronics kit for myself
This is a Raspberry Pi in a 3D printed mini NES case with working mini 3D printed cartridges
It is a Raspberry Pi 2 running RetroPie Jesse
The novelty is that it also uses NFC tags to allow the mini cartridges to select the games
The front power and reset buttons also work
! No longer availableHe is selling the improved (no solder / printed PCB) electronics kit separately:
http://www.daftmike.com/p/nespi-electronics-kit.html! No longer availableAlthough I am not planning on 3D printing a mini NES case I think the NFC Raspbery Pi interface is interesting enough to get the electronics kit.
Remote controllers and menus are probably a lot easier. This NFC interface can be used for novelty and physical media interaction.
Printed cards or keychains that run the game when you put them at the designated spot/slot?
Hu Card style with NFC tag?
Cards for major functions like web browser, mame, nes, kodi, etc.
NEO-GEO Mini-Marquees that select the game? Would be nice if integrated into a single slot styled cabinet with the "Now Featuring" marquee:

Design your own console/arcade box and cartridge/card/token system?
