UMC Shuffle Bowling - should I?
« on: July 21, 2016, 10:33:53 am »
I have a good line on an early 60s shuffle bowling machine.  I've never played with or dealt with one but it seems like a fun looking contraption.  The prices is decent and the unit is reported as being in good working condition needing only some minor tlc.

What say you oh denizens of BYOAC?  Should I further clutter my garage?  What is this doohicky worth?  Is this whatzit fun?  Do you have one and do you enjoy it?

I have 2 identical shuffle alleys from the 50s. Parts can be tough to find. They take up a lot of space. Kids seem to get the most enjoyment out of them, but even they get tired of it.

I have no idea if they are fun, how much room you have to store it, or whether it will send you to the poor house keeping it running.

That being said, it looks awesome and of course you should buy it.

So once again, we find that evil of the past seeps into the present like salad dressing through cheap wax paper, mixing memory and desire.

I think you'd get bored of it quickly, and pissed off when it breaks.Repeatedly.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Good feedback!  Room isn't an issue and the price is great but I think I'll pass.  Probably will love it for a day and have buyers remorse by the end of the weekend.  Not to mention the giant pain the ass those things are to move.  EMs aren't lite.  Almost bit, but over the last 48 I've been having second thoughts.  Usually a pretty good sign I shouldn't do it.

If anybody is in NC area and wants to bite guy is asking 250 but I'm pretty sure he'll go for half that as he wants it gone so bad.

I've only played the newer digital one at a bar. It was on free play and I still got bored quickly. I'd much rather have a skee ball if I had the room for one of these.
