1" is an unusual size.  Do you mean 3/4"?

My control panel is 18mm thick and when I get the artwork on it and the 3mm polycarbonate  on top of that it will be quite thick so wanted 1" then I can trim it down to size. I have not got polycarbonate yet so could get different thickness.

Any reason why you can't just have laminated vinyl printed removing the need for a plexi cover?

Pretty sure you can't get 1" t-molding but if it does exist it will probably be very expensive in pink. Probably cheaper to recut your control panel.

15mm MDF + Vinyl + 3mm Plexi and use 3/4" (19mm) t-molding
18mm MDF + Laminated vinyl and use 3/4" (19mm) t-molding

You can definitely get 1" t-molding, as well as many other sizes. Check T-Molding.com, here, for a number of different sizes available. Unfortunately, at this time, it looks like they only have the pink t-molding in 3/4".

You might be able to chamfer the bottom of your CP edge and still get by with 3/4 T-molding.

+1, only I'm not civilized enough to chamfer so I just run the edge of the CP top through the table saw to remove material from the bottom edge.
The the wider part is recessed 3/4" from the edge.  You'd have to get under it and look upwards to see it.

I was going to go with a plexi cover because I thought it wood be better than having the artwork laminated and last longer.  Is this not the case will laminated artwork be just as good as a plexi cover?

Yeah that would work well also.

I personally don't like Plexi over CP's. Plus you can always just have it reprinted if it doesn't wear well.

I have CP's with both and much prefer the ones without plexi.   One of them I need to take apart this summer and clean the dust out that got between the CPO and plexi.

thanks for the help.   I will probably go with laminated art work for the control panel and 3/4" t molding.
