We are taking a family vacation to Thailand and I see that there are some cool looking retro gaming stores, EX o-corner.

I don't thinK I'll be picking any thing up but browsing could be fun. Who knows maybe I'll come home with a Famicom.

Screw gaming stuff in Thailand, too much awesome to see.  Make sure you take the river up from Chaing Mai to Chaing Rai and check out the golden triangle and take a day trip over into Laos.  Visit the Badong tribes and some of the other mountain tribes from Myanmar.  Skip Phuket in favor of less Westernized areas like Koh Chang and have a blast in Bangkok.  Love love love Thailand, super family friendly too.

Thanks for the advice, it's in line with what I been hearing, but as an expat in a developing contry going to a nice western stile mail a most do.

My son and I are meeting my wife at the end of her work trip to Laos. If the trip goes well and she likes the job we will be moving to a small town in Laos. If that happens then weekend trips to Thailand will be a regular thing.

Have been to that store.  They know what they have and prices aren't exactly a steal. Mbk is worth a visit tough.

Yea there are a lot of similar retro video Game shops in NYC. There not where you go for deals but are fun to browse. I'm only looking for the experience.

If we do end up move to Lols however, I'll be keeping an eye open here and there for old hardware.

Since that store is (or at least was) at MBK....it's a "spend money for stuff you don't need" palace. You quickly stay there for a day to buy faked stuff

Thailand was a blast. O-corner was worth seeing, but was most definitely at the hight end for pricing. I checked out Thailand's version of eBay and lots of cool retro items can be found around for a lot less.

The rest of the city was amazing. Every one should go at some point.
