Coin Doors
« on: November 24, 2015, 09:47:48 pm »
Kind of a newbie question, but is an over/under preferable if coins are going to be used?  I don't see many "under" access for a coin box on many of the designs here, so I'm wondering if it is needed.  Without a coin box access, where do the coins go??  Thanks,

JudgRob

You can still have a single coin door and just hang a coin box below it for the coins to fall in. To access it, just open the coin door and reach in to grab it.

Ah yes, that's the pic I was looking for.  That's what I suspected was going on.  Good to know I can just access it through the top door.  Thanks bud.  :)

Over/unders are often available cheaper than the single rectangular doors since those are often desired for game restoration. If you buillt your own cabinet then try to find an odd size door to save money (dart cabinets had a weird size).

Thanks guys.  I'm looking at Model: CD-FS-RED at Twisted Quarter.  I thought I read somewhere that special hardware was required to mount it.  Is that right?  What will I need?  Thanks,
JR

All you need is a way to cut the hole.

The coin door has a flange and little clamps with screws are used to secure it to the cabinet. the coin door should come with this hardware.

They also sell replacement clamps http://www.twistedquarter.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=171_175&products_id=2593

and screws http://www.twistedquarter.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=171_175&products_id=2595
